What Is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a non-invasive procedure where a series of fine injections of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, anti-oxidants, hyaluronic acid, enzymes, hormones, and microcirculation regulators cocktails are delivered into the mesodermal layer of the skin. The actual mixture depends upon the problem being treated. We, at Soze beauty, are working on mesotherapy treatment by the book. The needle only enters the mesoderm of the surface layer of the skin. This infusion of active ingredients rejuvenate and revitalize the skin, as well as remove excess fat while stimulating the production of elastin and collagen. So, mesotherapy can be used to address everything from dehydration, fine lines, sunspots, cellulite, and hair loss.
People who have had mesotherapy describe their skin as firm, radiant, glowing, and youthful.
Because of all this, mesotherapy is also known as the treatment of eternal youth.
This technique was first developed in 1952. by french doctor Michel Pistor and it was originally used as a pain reliever.
Today, mesotherapy is used to:
- fade wrinkles and fine lines
- treat acne scarring
- improve dull, tired-looking skin
- remove fat in areas like the stomach, thighs, buttocks, hips, legs, arms, and face
- reduce cellulite
- recontour the body
- prevent a hair loss
The idea of mesotherapy is to correct underlying issues like poor circulation and inflammation that cause skin damage.
How To Prepare And What Happens During Your Appointment?
Your doctor or trained practitioner will provide all the information to find out what to expect. It would be good to avoid aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs because these pain relievers can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising during the treatment.
Mesotherapy treatment can be slightly uncomfortable, so if you have sensitive skin an anesthetic cream can be used. A little swelling may occur, but it should settle within 24 hours. After that, your skin will become more hydrated, radiant, nourished with an improved texture. In total, the treatment takes no longer than 10-30 minutes. At first, you’ll get the injections every 7 to 10 days, and if your skin starts to improve, the treatments will be stretched out to once every two weeks or once a month. A course of 6-8 sessions is advised every two weeks with maintenance treatments 1-2 times a year. This gives a glow to the face, and the effect remains for 3-4 months.
When is the Best Moment For Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy treatment can be done at any time of the year, whether or not the skin has been exposed to the sun.
There are no serious side effects if dosages are low and regularly monitored with blood testing. Side effects are usually very limited and, in most cases, coverable with makeup. Tiny purple dots will appear at some of the injection sites, but these disappear very quickly. A known allergic response to one of the ingredients would, of course, also exclude you from having the treatment. Scalp treatments are usually well-tolerated and don’t affect your normal routine.
Mesotherapy is not recommended for:
- pregnant women and when breastfeeding
- people with autoimmune diseases,
- people with a blood clotting disorder,
- people who are allergic to any of the cocktail ingredients,
- people with bacterial skin infections.
Mesotherapy has preventive purposes to slow down and delay aging, and it is not a substitution for laser, facelift, or hyaluronic acid fillers.
